Newcomers Club of Greater Seattle, a nonprofit 501(c)7 social organization, understands the importance of keeping personal information private. We take privacy matters very seriously. Please report any privacy breaches immediately to our administrators at info@newcomersofgreaterseattle.org.
When members join our club, they are asked a set of questions, including name, address, and phone/email contact information. The information appears in their Member Profiles, which are on password-protected pages visible only to other club members who log onto the website. Profiles also contain other information that members voluntarily provide, including when they arrived in Seattle, other places they have lived, a brief paragraph about what they'd like to share about themselves. The purpose of the Member Profiles is to foster friendships as we seek new and potential friends.
We do not ever sell club members' private information.
Member's full names and other personal information do not appear on the public pages of this website unless the member has given express permission to include it.
We take photos at club activities and post them on the website. Members have the option of declining to be photographed or have their images appear on public or private pages. We take care not to inadvertently upload a photo of them. Photos on the public part of the website never use the members last names unless we have express permission to include it.
We do not seek or share information from members about non-members.
We do not share personal data with third-party applications.
This website is built using Wild Apricot cloud software, and it provides security for the site and our membership management database. Please see the Wild Apricot's Privacy Policy.
