The Program: At 12:45 pm, we'll hear a presentation by Susan Dibble, Executive Director of Page Ahead Children's Literacy Program. The Seattle-based nonprofit organization strives to close the literacy gap before it forms.
Please bring a book to donate: The Newcomers Engage for Change Interest Group will conduct a book drive at the event. New or gently used children's books will be collected and donated to Page Ahead's Book Oasis Little Free Libraries in Seattle communities with the most limited access to books.
If you must cancel, please do so as soon as possible. It allows the host to have an accurate count and allows others to register if the event fills up. (For how to cancel a registration, see our FAQs web page.)
Directions to Clubhouse
The Nile Shrine golf course is just west of Interstate 5 at the Edmonds exit (WA 104).
To reach the clubhouse, go through the Nile Shrine front gate and continue straight, through the golf course, until the road comes to a "T."
Turn right and go up the hill toward the clubhouse.
Turn right into the clubhouse parking lot and drive back along the right side of the club house until you come to a smaller parking lot with a circular drive for drop off by the double doors where you'll enter. (Look for the sign outside the double doors for "Navi's Catering Kitchen.")
There are a number of disabled parking spaces close to the entrance, but there also should be plenty of parking in that area for everyone else. Note: Avoid spaces near signs warning of errant golf balls!
